Richard Stockton 3 NYU 1 | NYU 3 Baruch 0The New York University women's volleyball team was defeated by host Richard Stockton College in four sets, but picked up a three-set neutral-site victory vs. Baruch College on Saturday, October 25, in Galloway, NJ.
The Violets (18-13) began the day with a tough four-set loss (25-19, 24-26, 25-16, 25-22) to the host Ospreys (25-4), but followed that up with a strong straight-set victory (25-15, 25-19, 25-13) over the Bearcats (10-15).
"We had a solid finish to the day with a lot of players contributing," said NYU Head Coach
Jolie Ward.
RICHARD STOCKTON HIGHLIGHTS:-
Josie Luck led the Violets with 10 kills, adding eight digs as well. It was the third time this season the sophomore has registered double-digit kills.

MaTia Hughes dished out 31 assists and totaled 11 digs. The double-digit helpers total was her second straight, and second of her career. She also registered a team-high-tying two service aces.

Brooke Tannahill led NYU with 21 digs, while
Cassidy Jourdan was next with 14.
BARUCH HIGHLIGHTS:- Luck and
Shelby Ross each registered a match-high nine kills. Luck also added 12 digs.

Celine Das dished out a match-best 25 assists and added eight digs, two service aces and a block.

Allie Williams led all players with three service aces and notched five digs, three kills and a block.
- Hughes led the Violets with 15 digs, while also contributing two service aces.
The Violets will return to the court when they travel to Hoboken, NJ, next weekend for the New York Region Challenge, hosted by the Stevens Institute of Technology. NYU will face Rowan University on Friday, October 31, at 2:00 pm, followed by Nazareth College at 8:00 pm. On Saturday, November 1, the Violets will face Clarkson University at 12:00 pm and the Rochester Institute of Technology at 2:00 pm.
