New York University wrestling's Patrick Sheehan was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week on Monday, November 18.

The #7-ranked junior co-captain defeated #3-ranked 184-pounder Julian Meaney during #19 NYU's victory over #12 Elizabethtown College at the Metro vs. PA Duals in Wilkes-Barre, PA, this past weekend.

NYU went on to defeated King's College (PA) later in the afternoon, as well, finishing up the weekend with 2-1 dual match record.

This is the second consecutive week that Sheehan has earned UAA honors, and now has two total this season, as well as in his career.

The NYU grapplers will be back on the mat for the NY State Collegiate Championships on Sunday, November 24. The tournament will be hosted by Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
