The New York University women's volleyball team (18-2, 2-1) completed the University Athletic Association (UAA) Round Robin #1 with a win on Sunday, October 6, in Cleveland, OH.
NYU defeated Carnegie Mellon (16-6, 1-2) in straight sets by a score of 25-20, 27-25, 25-18. The Violets overcame a 25-24 deficit in the second to take the last three points and a commanding 2-0 set lead.
After a tie score of 10-10 in the third set, NYU won the next six points in a row to put the match out of reach.

Alexandria Mao led the squad with 12 kills and 10 digs.

Nicole Frias added eight kills to go along with an impressive .727 hitting percentage.

Emily Moore dished out 32 assists.
- NYU out-killed Carnegie 40-33.
"The second set comeback was a huge momentum shift for us," said NYU Head Coach
Jolie Ward. "We are firing on all cylinders and I am very pleased with everyone's contributions."
The team returns to action in two weeks when it competes in the UAA Round Robin #2 in St. Louis, MO, on Saturday and Sunday, October 16-17.
