CLUB FEST 2010

Get active, be involved. Choose from 21 diverse activities. Meet people and
make friends with other students who share your interest in sports. Find
comfort at any level in organized sports activities. Meet the coaches and the
teams at Club Fest 2009, Thursday, September 10th, from 3:00-7:00 p.m.,
at the Coles Sports Center Field House.

Some club sports are recreational and/or instructional in nature, while
others provide the opportunity for serious league competition. Regardless
of the level of commitment required by the club sport, the desire to participate
is always more important than athleticism. For a brief description of
the club sports established at NYU, review the pages that follow.
Club sports are student-initiated. The basic structure of club sports is to
offer student-athletes numerous opportunities for leadership and decision
making. The strengths and success of club sports is dependent on the
effectiveness of student leadership and the degree of involvement of the
club members.

If you are interested in organizing a new club sport, please read the Club Sport Manual (likned below).

All members of the Coles Sports Center and Palladium Athletic Facility,
except for Coles Community Members, are welcome to participate in club
sports. However, only matriculated undergraduate and graduate students
are eligible to participate in extramural competitions in those club sports
that have competitive extramural schedules.
